Round 2 is done! Did you miss my review of Round 1?
I started round 2 right after the holidays and a 9 day caribbean vacation, and I had a little "low hanging fruit" flab to lose due to a little overindulgence on vacation so I started my "get back on track" plan with a 3-Day Refresh. Unsure what that is? Read more.
On the 3-Day Refresh, I got back to my pre-vacation weight and lost the bloat so I started Round 2 of Core De Force, a Mixed Martial Arts inspired workout program, with low expectations of results. Honestly, I wasn't really trying. I was happy in maintenance mode. Yes, I wanted a little more muscle definition in my legs and stomach and was hoping to lose the inch I gained in my butt and waist over the last month but wasn't trying to lose weight.
Due to this, I followed the eating plan VERY LOOSELY. I try for 80/20 with healthy/unhealthy habits...this last month was probably more like 70/30 and some days more like 60/40. But, I showed up every day to work out and I drank my superfood shake every day.
I also modified most of the workouts moves, taking a lot of intensity out of it. My ankle is giving me problems and it really doesn't like it when I jump. So, again, I figured that I wouldn't see drastic results as I felt like I was taking it easy.
I haven't been weighing myself much either. My clothes fit fine and I'm happy with how I look so I don't need to. I definitely try not to obsess over a pound or two fluctuation on the scale. So, this morning when I went to take the "AFTER" photos, measurements and weight, I really didn't expect to see results.
Imagine my surprise when the scale showed I had lost 3 pounds. I didn't lose that much in round 1! I also lost 1/2 inch on both my waist and butt. The rest stayed the same. Before and After pictures below. I know you can't see a huge difference, you shouldn't. What you can see is a bit more definition in the stomach and legs. Totally what I was aiming for!

And, here's one of leg definition. I've never taken a photo of this before...frankly because there wasn't much to show. But I'm definitely excited to see some new muscles.
I've said it before and I'll say it again....I LOVE THIS PROGRAM! It's fun and it gets results. I am so tempted to do a round 3 but feel like my body needs a change up for a bit so I'm going to move onto something else but I'll definitely be back to this one soon!
